After getting his Engineer degree from École Supélec, Alexis André went to Japan, where he received his M.E. and Ph.D. from the Tokyo Institute of Technology before joining Sony Computer Science Laboratories, Inc. in 2009.

His research focuses on the next generation of entertainment, where the use of technology enables the creation of even more engaging and unique experiences that are tailored to each consumer. The toy robot platform “toio” is one of the results of that research.
